NOT ALL vegetables and fruits sold in Baguio are organic.
That is a fact.
And if you’re that type of person who wants their food organically-grown, then either you buy and prepare real organic produce or buy from a trusted store.
This is one of the motivators that brought Live Long Detox Bar and Organic Shop to existence in Baguio City and bring in the healthy stuff to people.
Driven by personal mantra to stay healthy and away from cancer, Tina, who owns and manages Live Long, cruised us through her restaurants dishes and drinks.
The Live Long Detox Bar and Organic Shop is located at the ground floor of Philhealth Building, 9 Leonard Road, Baguio City.
It is open from 1pm to 8pm.
The place look cozy. With natural-colored light wooden furniture mostly, the place looks pleasing to the eye and relaxing.
Their throw pillows with life quotes play a good role as well as talking points for people visiting the place.
It is a cool thing for Live Long Detox Bar to associate their drinks with super heroes. Probably, subliminally telling people that by drinking these drinks, there are “super” benefits that one can get from.
Green lantern (Php 147) is a detoxifying drink made of green vegetables (apple, cucumber, celery, spinach and parsley) targeting in cleansing the digestive system.
Iron man (Php 150) is made of pineapple, apple, banana and yogurt which Tina said is good for the bones.
Superman (Php 150) is what Live Long claims to be the King of Anti-Cancer. It is composed of carrot, apple, alfalfa sprout, cucumber, celery, broccoli stem, beet root and ginger.
Phoenix (Php 150) on the other hand is good for the skin as the drink is made of apple and cinnamon.
Live Long Detox Bar also offers other than just drinks. They have their own set of meals to suit your appetite and fill your tummy with healthier options.
Go Green Pasta (Php 137) is their version of pesto. It’s still made of basil to taste. But, what’s the catch? The pasta.
The pasta is not your usual pasta made of flour. Theirs is made of vegetable.
Sultry Sliders (P 187) are house burgers which patties are made of eggplant, mushroom and taro. Each flavor has its own “character” to sizzle in your tongue.
Cute Cabbage Wrap (Php 170) is the restaurant’s version of siomai. Only this counterpart is made of cabbage, siomai chicken and organic vegetables.
Mason Jar Salad (Php 200) is a “real” killer for me, figurately. If you think salads are so boring, then better try this one as the mix of the vegetables plus Live Long Detox Bar’s dressing, surely can make you think to eat more.
Goddess Grilled Chicken (Php 187) is those wanting a little meat on their meal and rice. This brings vegetables, chicken and rice together in a healthier way.
Hot Bibimbop (Php 167) is for those who wants to get that little of the “K-Pop” sensation in their tongue. It is their healthier version of the popular Korean dish.
Take note that Live Long Detox Bar and Organic Shop is using organic rice that goes along with their meal.
Aside from the meals, the resto has a small organic shop for people looking for their source of healthy stuff.
As for the taste, location and price, the Live Long Detox Bar and Organic Shop pretty much got all it in pretty well. I only wish that they have one in Manila soon. And Tina said, their are planning to have one already.
