Same thing, I am sure, how they’d wish their loved ones, friends, relatives and buddies. That’s why, with Robinsons Supermarket 9th Fit and Fun Wellness Buddy Run, a convergence of around 4,500 runners joined the 5k and 10k fun run at Bonifacio Global City.
And since it is a buddy run, I ran with my running buddy, fiancee, Cristelle Torres of GirlandBoyThing, in a 5k run.
Yes, only 5k as I am still recuperating from a sprained ankle. (Yeah, right, Excuses. Lol)
We arrived at around 5am in the venue. During that time, it was celebrity fitness enthusiast Regine Tolentino on stage, pumping up the energy of the crowd for a nice warm up with Zumba.
Followed by couple fitness coaches Jim and Toni Saret to raise the metabolic heart rate of participants just before the run.
I, together with Cristelle, roamed around first across different participating booths.
The Fit and Fun Wellness Buddy run is testament to RSC’s steadfast commitment to promote a healthier lifestyle among Filipinos.
Top finishers each took home exciting prizes. The 2nd and 3rd placers of the 5K run received P 8,000 worth of Robinson: gift certificates, while 10K runners got P15,000 worth of Robinson: GCs. The 1st placer of the 5K run won a 3D/2N trip with accommodations for two to El Nido, Palawan and the 10K winner received a 3DIZN trip for two to Bali, Indonesia with accommodations.
