Merdermom Supports Wellness Advocacy for Women in POGS Run 2015

Giving birth to a child. The bearing, labor and birth pains may be challenging, but the rewards of being able to bring a child or children into the world is one of kind – and I will never get to experience those.

For all of the challenges that child-bearing brings, one of the most common “defects” if I may say, are the stretch marks that it leaves on mothers.

Though some men won’t mind having their wife having stretch marks, but to women, this may be a big issue – as it someone robs them of their “glory” that their body once had. Sometimes, the marks trigger insecurities and confidence issues in women.

That’s why the Mederma Stretch Marks Therapy introduced MederMom an advocacy campaign that aims to build a community in support of moms. MederMom encourages mothers to support and care for other mothers who may have limited access to maternal care.

Mederma and POGS will continue to work hand in hand in introducing workshops and programs that will support access to maternal care in the country.
