After traveling thousands of miles away from Manila and days of on-the-spot training, the first AirAsia Travel Photographer has come to an end.
Out of the four non-photographers vying for the title, 36-year old Filipina executive assistant Velvet Lagman-Macasaet wins to the title to be the first AirAsia Travel Photographer.
Sponsored by AirAsia, together with ThinkDharma, Inc., exclusive distributor of Nikon in the Philippines, picked four people to travel in different destinations to be taught by pro photographers.
Velvet Lagman, who garnered more than 50% of the total votes of the four contenders, went to Yogyarkata together with pro photographer Adam Lee and blogger Mae Ilagan.
While I, fortunately, went to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia with hotel-staff Sarah Garcia and renowned Filipino travel photographer George Tapan.
Though our team did not win in the contest, the experience with #TeamKL is worth the time.
Two other other contenders: TJ Nepomuceno III and Paul Delfin went with pros Raymond Cruz and Parc Cruz.
The photos of the four contenders were showcased at the SM Light Mall in Mandaluyong City for public viewing, while all the entries can be viewed via www.AirAsiaTravelPhotographer.com.
Velvet Lagman, being the grand winner, took home the best prizes – 100,000 AirAsia Big Points and a Nikon Nikon D5500 with 18mm-55mm lens kit.
While the other contenders got their own Nikon 1 J5 cameras and AirAsia Big Points.
Plus, a lucky Mia Celindro, received a 100,000 AirAsia BIG Points and a Nikon 1 J5 camera for participating in the online voting.FOLLOW MY ADVENTURES ON:
