If you happen to grow up during the 90s (and a geek or nerd inside), you would find that what actor Richard Dean Anderson were doing in MacGyver are POSSIBLE and DOABLE. All it takes for him vast knowledge of science, gut feeling, duct tape and his Victorinox Tinker Swiss Army Knife.
Instead of cape, mask and all sorts of thingymajig, I just wanted that time my own Swiss army knife and duct tape, which obviously, my parents did not want me to have. Who on earth, an elementary student, with no projects at all in school, would ask for those sorts of thing?
Anyway, moving on years later, there I was in a Victorinox event dubbed as Victorinox Klasse.
Klasse is a a German word classy or great, which personally I believe fits with the brand. Victorinox products, particularly, the Swiss knives and time pieces, have been a symbol of durability, dependableness and of course, elegance.
Victorinox is knonw of having “TOUGH” products, proven by years of experience in the industry and of having “HIGH STANDARDS”
Who wouldn’t want a Victorinox with them during long travels or even regular daily trip to work or business?
Well, I would. 🙂
And during the Victorinox Klasse, all the more that you would feel the wanting for their gears, since, you know it is not only durable, but it also looks really FINE and ELEGANT. And I’m sure, you have to admit, that there a “CLING” to it when you see somebody wearing a Victorinox.
Some of the travel gears during the event are Victorinox lines of Swiss Army Knives, Time pieces and Luggages.
I would definitely not have that back checked-in with other luggages in the airport, if I were to own it. Lol!
Though, Victornix may not be the brand for everybody due to its price, it is definitely a brand any man would want to have. And you know that you’re just paying right for a premium-grade set of travel gears.
The real Victorinox Klasse
The event Klasse is not just any event that showcased lines of products of Victorinox. The event highlighted the launch of Victornix Klasse Card.
Victorinox Klasse Card is a loyalty card that entitles its members to receive various perks and privileges. Among these perks are:
- an invitation to private selling events and exclusive Victorinox events such as product launches and parties,
- a 20 percent discount on one’s birthday month,
- quarterly privileges with partner establishments, and
- promotions exclusive to the card holder
As part of the launch, Victorinox honored the night’s special guest Swiss Ambassador to the Philppines, Ivo Sieber, to be the first honorary member of the Victorinox Klasse Card. Initial roll out of cards will be soon, first-off are the attendees of the event.
Attendees were treated with a scrumptious spread of Swiss-oriented specialties including the Lucerne Vol Au Vent, Vitello Tonnato, St. Gallen Sausages, Ticino Air Dried Meats, Cheese Board e.g.Gruyere, Emmenthal & Appenzeller, Assorted Bread Rolls, Swiss Chocolate Fondue, Meringue, Fresh Strawberries and Grapes at Oz Bar, Holiday Inn, Makati.
As guests discovered the culture of the Swiss through food, the regaling continued with a gallery of Victorinox products and iconographies which told more of the Swiss culture and several significant Philippine-Swiss relations over the centuries.
Primer Group of Companies, which is a retail and distribution chain, distributing Victorinox in the country, hosted the event, with their AVP, Darwin Banez, welcoming everyone to the event.
Male models also graced the event by strutting with their Victorinox travel gears.
The event’s hotel sponsor, Holiday Inn, also gave away GCs applicable for use in their in-house restaurants.
The Big Surprise
Lucky for me to be there, because I won for myself a Victorinox Army Swiss Knife (which I will be featuring soon, together with a Victorinox Boarding Pouch).
Now, all I need is a duct tape, which I can easily buy, and an adventure. It is never too late to emulate a hero I know can be real, MacGyver. Lol!
Kidding aside, I will be using these to my next trips. Off to another one. Hopefully with these people who I was with during the event.
