Boost Your Old, Slow WIFI Connection via USB Adapter with D-Link AC1900

If you have an old laptop or a desktop which doesn’t have any WIFI dongle, or just wanting to upgrade your aging wireless device, then you can consider adding the D-Link AC1900 (DWA-192) to your rig.

It may look like a “Pokeball” at first, but the D-Link AC1900 is a USB WIFI adapter that upgrades your desktop or laptop’s wireless connection to the latest generation of AC speeds – up to 1900Mbps.

Plus with the dual band system makes it flexible to adjust to both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz, whichever speed is available to use for your given tasks, thus making it easy to connect and do more over the internet. It automatically adjusts your connection to the internet usage you require. So whether you’re browsing or streaming videos, the D-Link AC1900 switches accordingly.

It also gives a good signal coverage to your hardware as the AC1900 is thrice the range compared to the standard WIFI adapters in the market – making sure you get connected even when you’re in a large home or office.

The AC1900 also complies to the latest encryption methods, assuring a safe, secure connection. It supports WPA / WPA2 encryption for high-level wireless security. It is also easy to setup as you can establish secure connection with a press of a button.

It runs on both Windows and OSx computers. The AC1900 weighs 0.65 lbs. And it measures at 3.15 x 3.15 x 3.03 inches.

I was not anymore surprised on how it worked on an old desktop. What surprised me on actual usage, is when I used it on a newer model laptop. I attached it to my 13″ Macbook Pro Retina (2015). All the while, I thought that there will be no improvement of whatsoever on my laptop anymore, since it is a new model.

Surprisingly, every time I used the D-Link AC1900, I get faster speed. At first, I thought it was just a spike. But I repeated the test a number of times, and the results were the same. When I plug-in the D-Link AC1900, I get better and faster connection.

The D-Link AC1900 is backward compatible to older USB ports, even if it is already running at 3.0 USB Interface.

Best part of it is that the AC1900 has a very noticeable design, surely, it will be an object of discussion. 😉

The D-Link AC1900 is available in the market now for Php 3,600.
