My iPhone 6 is my partner in most of the things I do. For business, leisure, travel, professional and personal doings, most of the time, my iPhone is part of my activities. It may be a popular, dependable phone, in most cases, but, it is also a public knowledge, that iPhone, is not known to last its power.
Especially for a data hogger like me, the power on my iPhone do not last for 6 hours straight. So, how do I deal with it? Here were my options before:
1. Bring a cable and adapter
Doing this one, will not make me a data hogger, but also a wall “hugger,” since I will be close to any wall possible just to charge my iPhone. This one is okay, if only I stay in one place. However, doing business and blogging, make me more mobile than stay in the office or home.
2. Bring a Powerbank
This is a good idea and admittedly, I have been doing this for years already. With multiple gadgets at hand, bring a power bank may seem practical, at times. But, sad part, is that, it consumes extra space on my bag, and additional weight as well.
3. The Otterbox Resurgence for iPhone 6
(available online at TenkieBox)
Lastly, the third option that I tried about a few weeks now, is having an Otterbox Resurgence on my iPhone 6.
Using Otterbox Resurgence seems to be the best option, so far, for me in addressing my need for extra power on my iPhone, whenever, wherever.
Because Otterbox Resurgence:
– Gives extra juice when you need it
– Adds protection for your iPhone
– Lighter to carry around with, compared to carrying extra powerbank
– Cool design
Here’s a quick tour on the Otterbox Resurgence specs:
- 2,600-mAh battery
- Military-rated drop protection (MIL STD 810G-516.6)
- Auto-stop charge when phone is full, saving power for later
- High-speed charge gets your phone up and running fast
- LED displays case power status in 25% increments
- Included micro USB cable for high-speed case charging
The 2,600 mAh on the Otterbox Resurgence makes it twice the power of your iPhone. So, it is enough to give you another full or nearly full (if you’re using while charging your iPhone) battery charge. Enough juice to keep you through a full day of excessive use on your iPhone.
The Resurgence is easy to use. Simply hold the back button for about 3 seconds and you will see how the iPhone start to charge instantly.
In case the casing does not have anymore juice on it, simply just charge it like your iPhone charges. No need to take off the casing. Simply plug-in the cable that goes along with the Otterbox Resurgence box, and voila, both your iPhone and casing are charged.
The normal cycle for this is that the iPhone gets to be fully charged first, before the Otterbox Resurgence is charged. You can see how much more you need to charge the Resurgence simply by pressing the back button again, and LED will show how much power has the casing absorbed.
Another good thing about the Resurgence, is that it can quickly charge your iPhone.
The Otterbox Resurgence is not to be mistaken for just extra juice, because known for the brand’s protective casing, this Otterbox Power Series casing is still tough and true to its name. With its militay-rated drop protection, the Resurgence can still protect your precious iPhone from accidental drops. The outer shell is made of two pieces of fiberglass-filled polycarbonate while the inner part is made of high-density foams.
The added protection on your iPhone makes your handset a bit bulkier. At first, I thought it feel awkward, but, surprisingly, it still fits my hand comfortably.
Honestly, my iPhone 6 on my hand, felt like it is tougher, compared to holding it bare which feels like my handset is so fragile.
As for me, the red Otterbox Resurgence captured my eyes in an instant. With its metallic finish, the Resurgence Cardinal became an sure choice for me.
The Otterbox Resurgence comes in:
- Cardinal (red – just like mine)
- Glacier (somewhat silver)
- Mint Ice (the one with a touch of green)
The design does not just made my iPhone look tougher, but cooler too.
The Resurgence’s design extended some of the iPhone’s sides. Like the bottom part, wherein the speaker and headphone port are located, an extra cable is needed for the non-iPhone headset. The Resurgence has an extension cable for headphones or earphones that does not come with the one from Apple. This came handy when I plugged in my Bose earphone. Cool!
The Otterbox Resurgence is valued at P 4,600 in the Philippines.
Otterbox Resurgence is available via Otterbox stores in malls nationwide, or you can buy Otterbox Resurgence at TenkieBox online to save some time and effort going to the mall.
So, give your iPhone that extra juice it needs, anytime, anywhere, without bringing more cables and powerbanks.
Is it worth your money?
The Otterbox Resurgence gives the combine benefits of having a good protective casing (with military-rated drop protection) and an additional powerbank without having to carry one.
So, you get two iPhone accessories in one.
I am honestly enjoying and reaping the benefits of my Otterbox Resurgence. I have not taken it off from iPhone ever since. Powering my iPhone is simply pressing my casing button for 3 seconds. No need for extra wires while walking on a trip, having meetings or while calling or texting people.
