Rey BelenTeluk Chempedak Beach is one of the major destinations of tourists and locals in Kuantan. It is located 5 kilometers away and about 10-15-minute drive from the Kuantan Center proper facing the South China Sea.
This beach is known for different activities you can do. Whether water or non-water activities. Teluk Chempedak is a good location for swimming, kayaking, jet-skiing and surfing.
If you’re not into water activities, you can always enjoy the sun, the sand and the breeze, like many others do. Or you can always check out the many establishments around as many are food-related, so you’ll never go hungry in the area.
During my short visit to the place, many locals come to the beach just for unwinding. Well, I can’t argue with them, as the view and the cool breeze can give anyone that “break” they need from the hustle and bustle.
You can also check out the TC Kids Track for RM10/10 mins located at the left side of the shore, facing the beach.
Teluk Chempedak is a major spot both day and night. So whether you’re going solo, with someone, family or friends, you can always hop into the sand and enjoy the breeze.
The beach is accessible via public transport from Kuantan. It also has lots of parking slots available for anyone bringing their own vehicle.
HOW TO GET THERE:
From Kuala Lumpur, Kuantan is a two-and-half hour away from the East Coast Expressway (ECE). Alternatively, there are 2-3 daily flights from KLIA to Kuantan Airport (KUA). And from Kuantan, it’s just a 10-15-minute bus ride to Teluk Chempedak Beach.
From Philippines
Pahang is accessible via Kuala Lumpur. There are flights going to Kuala Lumpur from the Philippines. AirAsia currently has two (2) flights daily to Kuala Lumpur from Manila.
But starting Ocober 29, AirAsia will have Manila-Kuala Lumpur flights 3x daily while 4x weekly Cebu -Kuala Lumpur flights 4x starting Oct 30, 2016.
So any trips going to Kuala Lumpur, Pahang or any other Malaysian destination from the Philippines can be connected via Manila-Kuala Lumpur or Cebu-Kuala Lumpur trips.
