Going out with friends maybe good, but spending days outside with family is simply far from just good. This is what I had when I went to Baguio together with my fiancee Cristelle (GirlandBoyThing) and my son Rendell (Rendell Belen).
Well, I got more excited knowing how great it is in Azalea, and second, is that I have both my son and fiancee with me to enjoy Baguio City.
It was around 7pm, when we checked-in Azalea.
The courteous front desk greeted us warmly, asked some details for the check-in and gave me our keycard for our room.
Azalea Residences Room 603
Our room is a 1-Bedroom-Suite good for a family of four or group of friends for four.
The rate of the 1-Bedroom-Suite is Php 8,800 for regular season, while Php 9,800 for peak season per night. (Interested in other rooms? Check out their other rooms)
It has one comfort room, kitchen and a living area. It is comfortably spaced for four people to enjoy – enough room for any activity – including workout (which is what Cristelle and I did for two nights, hehehe)
The bedroom has a queen-sized bed, cabinet, LED TV, blowdryer, and other amenities like a classy hotel.
The living area has a sofabed – designed to accommodate even three people the same time – a nice spot in front of a large TV for movie time with family (which is what we did as we watched The Dark Knight Rises on HBO).
What’s good about staying in Azalea, is having the provision of their kitchen of microwave, electric stove and a whole set of utensils you can use (free of charge), if you want to prepare your own food as you stay.
The bathroom has shower with hot and cold provisions.
After we checked-in for our stay in Azalea, we headed out to Tradisyon to try their Mongolian Buffet, something that I wasn’t able to do during my first stay in Azalea Residences. (Read about my review on Tradisyon Pinoy Comfort Food during my first stay in Azalea)
Azalea Residences Staycation
All the four days that we stayed in Azalea, What can you expect right? Cold weather, comfortable bed and blanket, LED TV? Of course, a realaxing stay with two of the most important people in my life.
Surely, it was not just me, because there are lots of times within the day that Cristelle and Rendell would just either sit down or lie down to relax, leisurely.
By the way, the Internet connection now in Azalea is better than when I stayed there last December 2013. Each room has routers already inside, giving better signal for any guest.
Our four days stay in Azalea of course were not just about watching movies and eating (though at the back of my head, that would be great! hehe), but a tour within and near Baguio City. Here are places we went to in our Baguio City Tour arranged by Azalea Residences.
- Maryknoll Ecological Sanctuary
- Mother’s Garden and Cafe
- The Mansion
- Wright Park
- White House Gallery (Ifugao Bamboo Art)
- Strawberry Picking in La Trinidad, Benguet
- La Trinidad Market
- Camp John Hay
After the tours we went to everyday, going back to our room was one of the best parts we had. Honestly, there are moments that I would just like to tuck myself under the comforters and relax just for a whole day or watch with Cristelle and Rendell. Hehehe. But, it would be selfish of me, not to enjoy the outdoors in Baguio City, especially it is the first time of my son to go there.
After four days and three nights, truly, this is one of the best moments I have had with Cristelle and Rendell (aside from our first out-of-the-country trip together).
And when I asked my son, how was his first Baguio trip and what is his most favorite part of the trip, he answered quickly, THE HOTEL DAD.
Anyone who stayed in Azalea Residences Baguio can definitely relate to this statement of my son.
