For us to buy some fresh goods to take home to Manila, Azalea Residences arranged a Baguio City tour for families, with the La Trinidad Trading Post as the last in our itinerary in our 4D/3N staycation.
The La Trinidad Trading Post is the last point in the Benguet before all vegetables go to other parts of Luzon area. And even some in the Cordillera region highland crops go to this place before the produce head to Metro Manila and other provinces.
Imagine the long trip that vegetables take just to get to our tables.
Anyway, when in Baguio (or Benguet), you might want to drop-by in the area to buy some vegetables, especially, if you have the space, money and will to bring along plastic-full of vegetables.
In our case, we buy some more expensive veggies here in Manila that won’t deteriorate during our trip back.
Take note that when buying there, expect that many people are carrying sacks of vegetables, so be careful not to just stand in the walkway, as the people won’t stop and wait for you to move. You’re the one who’s going to move since many carry heavy loads of veggies.
