The Mansion House Baguio City

One of the most visited places in city of pines is The Mansion House. And of course, this wouldn’t go out of the itinerary for the Baguio City tour package provided by Azalea Residences Baguio in their family fun package.

The Mansion House in Baguio City is the official residence of the Philippine President when in the city of pines. This usually takes place when important events in Baguio City needs the presence of the president. Like during Philippine Military Academy graduation rites or even during the vacation of the president in Baguio (say like during Holy Week).

The Mansion Baguio

The Mansion House Baguio was built in 1908 as the official summer residence of the US Governor-Generals back during the American occupancy in the Philippines. Built by William Cameron Forbes patterned after the design of William Parsons’ master plan of Burnham and Baguio.

The Mansion House was rebuilt in 1947 after being badly damaged in the World War II.

For security reasons, visitors won’t be able to go fully inside The Mansion House to see the interiors, as this is the official residence of the president in Baguio, but the exteriors alone is a nice thing to look at – from the gates to the facade of the whole structure.

The Mansion House is free to visit daily. Anyone can take photos of the facade.

Personally, it is a MUST to visit this place and take of it with yourself and companions. As for us, we did it. It is our first time to take photos of it as a family. 🙂

The Mansion House is just in front of the Wright Park, which we visited afterwards.
