Sir Richard Branson Serves as AirAsia Flight Attendant from Perth to Kuala Lumpur @richardbranson

In an event that took years in the making, Virgin Group’s founder and chairman Sir Richard Branson looked like a “Virgin” as he served as a flight attendant in a special flight of AirAsia from Perth to Kuala Lumpur.

Sir Branson’s effort to wear red lipsticks, skimpy skirt, doll shoes and, take note, shaving of his legs, did not go to waste. As honouring his wager against AirAsia’s CEO Tony Fernandes raised money for the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

Sir Richard Branson and Mr. Tony Fernandes had wagered on which one of their Formula One racing team would finish ahead of each other in their debut season in 2010 at Abu Dhabi, and that the loser would serve as female flight attendant on board the winner’s airline.

Lo and behold, Mr. Fernandes’ team finished two notches higher than of Sir Branson, thus, Sir Branson attending to AirAsia’s Flight X for five hours serving meals, distributing goodies, entertaining and making in-flight announcements for lucky guests and international media on board.

Upon arrival Low-Cost Carrier Terminal (LLCT) in Malaysia, Fernandes awarded Sir Branson with a plaque for having the “shortest” career in flight attendance.
