Mangala Resort and Spa – Ultimate Relaxation Hub in Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia

When you’re all stressed or feeling tired, all you need to do is slow down, go to a serene place, unwind. But sometimes, finding that place can be hard. That’s why it is a good thing that I was able to go to a place in Pahang, Malaysia where you can really pamper yourself and relax – the Mangala Resort and Spa.

Honestly, after getting a glance of some parts of Mangala Resort and Spa, I was surprised that the60-acre-property (24.28 hectares) was a barren land before it was converted to an “oasis” of relaxation.

Almost every part and corner of the property is eye-candy, really photo-friendly and in the millennial sense “Instagrammable.” With all the greens and fine design, you can’t help but feel relax just seeing the resort.

ACCOMMODATION

Composed of 31 villas (as of September 2016), the Mangala Resort and Spa has different villas for different types of personalities. The villas range from 40 sqm to 107 sqm space varying from a watery and tree-filled backdrop.

During the tour, I was able to see a few of the villas that Mangala Resort has for guests.

SARA VILLA (WETLAND COTTAGE) – RM 580 / Php 6,683.15 / $ 138.40
It is a 40 sqm cottage with a view of the man-made lake that has become a sanctuary for migratory birds – thus a favorite of bird-watchers and photographers.
VANA VILLA (FOREST POOL VILLA) – RM 880 / Php 10,150 / $ 210

The Vana Villa became an instant favorite. Its cozy design is actually a nice inspiration for a real home. The interior is homey, making me feel like I want to stay there right away.

The Vana Family Villa is a 107 square meter accommodation that has a king sized bedroom and twin bedroom, indoor living area, private pool and open air bathtub.

The spacious vanity room is a big PLUS, specially for girls while the outdoor pool is great for couples and kids. The open air tub and shower is also cool.

 JALA SUITE (WATER FAMILY UNIT) – RM 1,080 / Php 12,500 / $ 258
If the Vana Villa is a good “home” type of accommodation, the Jala Suite is THE vacation or weekend house that you’d like to spend your time into.
The Jala Suite Family Unit is a 96 sqm villa with king bedroom and twin bedroom. Each contemporary designed unit offers a private veranda, pantry, whirlpool tub and bathroom with rain-head shower and skylight.
With the bed fronting the lake, you can’t ask for more relaxing site within the Mangala Resort and Spa than this one. And I’d be choosing among the villas, I’d choose either the Jala Suite or the Vana Villa, can’t go wrong with the two.
 SPA
Mangala Resort and Spa offers a wide range of body massage, skin treatments, rejuvenation and revitalizing programs.
AMENITIES

With the vast space of the whole resort, Mangala also offers different active, creative and relaxation activities for individual and group guests. From team building sessions to solitary redefining activities, the resort has it.

Another must-see is their outdoor infinity pool that just looks so pleasing.

FOOD

Mangala Resort and Spa has its own restaurant, the Lakeside that has a wide range of menu.

EVENTS

The resort also accommodate functions such as corporate meetings and celebrations like weddings. They can house about 400 pax for social events.

IN SHORT

The Mangala Resort and Spa is an outright calming treat for guests at the sight of it as almost everything within the property is beautifully designed.

I can’t say much of the staying experience, as our group wasn’t able to check-in at the resort.

Too bad for me that the Mangala Resort and Spa was just a tour. It goes to show that I have another reason to go back to Pahang, this time, to stay a night or two in Mangala Resort and Spa.
